Waterslide T-Style Coodercaster 'Esquire Blonde' Mojo 'Valco Ozark-Style'Lap Steel Pickup Whiteguard

0.00

Made in the USA, this guitar features a beautifully aged Blonde Nitro Lacquer finish on a lightweight Swamp Ash body. The guitar weighs in at 7lbs 6oz so it's a nice light weight for a Coodercaster with tons of sustain & great balance.

The One-Piece Maple neck has a fat Nocaster-style "U" profile (.97" - .99") with a 25.5" scale length that's 1.68" at the bone nut with a 10" radius and 6105 frets. It has a light, slightly aged satin finish that feels great and will not get sticky when playing.

The bridge pickup is Mojo's brand new 'Valco-Style' Lap Steel Pickup and bridge combo which is an all-in-one bridge/pickup unit similar to the 50's Supro Ozark guitars. Very fat sounding with tons of sustain and punch, these are uniquely sensitive pickups which nail the vintage character and tone of the original Valco design. Primarily used by slide players like Ry Cooder, Jason Isbell and Blake Mills, these Lap Steel pickups have a special magic with open tunings and bottleneck playing.

The brass saddles are by Marc Rutters and they're notched and compensated for accurate intonation.

The switching system is similar to the "Eldred Mod" for Esquires with Emerson audio taper pots, and cloth covered wiring. The 3-way Oak Grigsby switch allows for 'Tone Bypass' in Position 1,  'Tone Enabled (NOS Russian PIO .047 Cap)' in Position 2 and a 'Fixed Notched Tone’ (Orange Drop .022 Sprague Cap) in Position 3. Vintage cupcake knobs and brass selector switch tie it all together.

Great parts and great care go into these guitars and this one comes in a hardshell case for $2,100 + Shipping. Please email me for international shipping rates.

Demo video was recorded straight into GarageBand so no amps or pedals were used. Watch it HERE
