Waterslide JR Doublecut Mahogany w/Mojo Dual Foil Gold Pickup FAT Neck

0.00

Here's a new model we've been working on, a set neck Doublecut JR with a single Mojo Dual Foil Pickup. This guitar features an Aged Nitro Lacquer finish on a lightweight Mahogany body. The guitar weighs in at 7 lbs 4oz so it's nice & light with tons of sustain & great balance.

The Mahogany neck has a FAT C late 50's profile with a Pau Ferro fingerboard and a 24.625" scale length that's 1 11/16" at the bone nut with a 12" radius and medium jumbo frets. It has a light, slightly tinted & aged satin finish that feels great and will not get sticky when playing.

The pickup is a surface-mounted Mojo UK 'Dual Foil' Gold Foil pickup which take Teisco's classic design from the 60's and turns it into a coil-splittable humbucker. It's very fat and detailed in humbucking mode with more power and 'oomph' than a typical Gold Foil. It can be coil split by the Push/Pull pot on the Tone control which give you the traditional round and glassy tone that has made vintage Gold Foil pickups so popular. Check out the demo video below, the bridge pickup is split by pulling up on the Tone control.

The wraparound bridge is a Faber compensated aluminum model on locking Tone Pros studs.

There's also CTS audio taper pots, a Sprague cap on the Tone control and cloth covered wiring with a Switchcraft jack. The old-school Celluloid pickguard and vintage HiFi knobs tie it all together.

Great parts and great care go into these guitars and this one comes in a hardshell case for $1799 + Shipping anywhere in the USA. Please email me for international shipping rates.

Demo video was recorded straight into GarageBand so no amps or pedals were used. Watch it HERE
