Waterslide J-Style Roasted Maple Mojo Gold Dual Foil Pickups Mastery Jazzmaster Vibrato StayTrem

0.00

This is one of my newest custom made Waterslide guitars and it's all "Made in the USA". As with all of my builds, if you like this guitar but would prefer a different neck, pickguard, pickups, etc, just send me a message and we'll see what we can do.

This guitar features a lightly aged Sunburst finish on a lightweight Alder body. The guitar weighs in at 8lbs even so it's a nice light weight for a Jazzmaster-style guitar with tons of sustain & great balance.

The Roasted Maple neck has a 50's Soft V-C profile (.86" - .97") and a 25.5" scale length that's 1 11/16" at the bone nut with a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. It has a light, slightly tinted satin finish that feels great and will not get sticky when playing.

The pickups are Mojo UK 'Dual Foil' Gold Foil pickups which take Teisco's classic design from the 60's and turns them into coil-splittable humbuckers. They're very fat and detailed in humbucking mode with more power and 'oomph' than a typical Gold Foil. Each pickup can be coil split by the white switches on the upper horn which gives you the traditional round and glassy tone that has made vintage Gold Foil pickups so popular. Check out the demo video below, the pickups are humbucking in the 'down' switch position and split single coil in the 'up' switch position.

The Mastery Vibrato is a beautiful piece of engineering that works smoothly and maintains tuning stability. The vintage-style bridge is by StayTrem, which is a huge improvement over the original design with better sustain and overall tone.

There's also CTS audio taper pots, a Paper-In-Oil cap and cloth covered wiring. The vintage HiFi Radio knobs and Brushed Gold acrylic guard tie it all together.

Great parts and great care go into these guitars and this one comes in a hardshell case for $2,299 + Shipping charges to wherever you are in the USA. Please email me for international shipping rates.

I also take custom orders!

Demo video was recorded straight into GarageBand so no amps or pedals were used.
