Waterslide Coodercaster Candy Apple Red Strat-Lollar Lap Steel+Gold Foil Pickups Roasted Maple VIDEO

0.00

This is one of my newest custom made Waterslide Telebacker guitars and it's all "Made in the USA".  As with all of my builds, if you like this guitar but would prefer a different neck, pickguard, pickups, etc, just send me a message and we'll see what we can do.

This Coodercaster features a lightweight Alder body with a 'Candy Apple Red Metallic' Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish that's been relic'd and aged. The whole guitar weighs in at 7lbs 9oz total so it's light for a Coodercaster with great balance & no neck dive.

The Flamed Roasted Maple & Rosewood neck has a nice 60's Slim C shape (.80 - .85) profile with a 25.5" scale length. It's 1 11/16" at the bone nut with a 10"-14" compound radius and 6105 frets. It has a light, slightly tinted satin finish that feels great and will not get sticky when playing. I chose Roasted Maple for this Coodercaster as it's very stable for heavy strings and open tunings. favored by slide players.

The bridge pickup is a Lollar Valco-style Lap Steel Pickup which is very fat sounding with tons of sustain and punch. Primarily used by slide players like Ry Cooder, Jason Isbell and Blake Mills, these Lap Steel pickups have a special magic with open tunings and bottleneck playing.

The neck pickup is a Lollar Gold Foil Teisco-clone that holds its own with the Lap Steel pickup with a sweet top end and clarity that provides a nice complement, tonally.

The Strat tremolo is by Kluson with a Steel Block and stainless steel saddles.

There's also CTS audio taper pots, a 3-way Oak Grigsby switch, Sprague Orange Drop and cloth covered wiring. The vintage style radio knobs are easy to grab and look great with the partial Tortoise guard.

Great parts and great care go into these guitars and this one comes in a Tweed hardshell case for $1,499 + shipping. Please email me for international shipping rates.

I also take custom orders, check out my website Waterslideguitars.com

Demo video was recorded straight into GarageBand so no amps or pedals were used: https://youtu.be/Uz1QbVcdbRs
